Backlog

It has been a rough week.

I wrote a post and never got around to posting it....here is something from last week... I went on a crazy adventure!

Thursday was a rough day.

My phone would not connect to my chargers at work and the battery ended up dying. After work (after 4:15pm came) I ended up talking to someone at my office about just living in Houston for 15 minutes and ended up leaving work after 4:30pm. I got home around 5:10pm and fed the dogs and tried to charge my phone. Wouldn’t charge.

I said I was really really sorry to the pugs and drove to AT&T store #1, no help but told me to go to 1960 store. I went to the bigger store thinking they could help and they said nope and told me to go to the 1960 store. I went to the 1960 store and finally left with a new phone (charging dock or whatever inside the phone was corrupt – not caused by me) at 6:30pm and treats for the pugs because I felt so bad I left them at home.

I got home at 7pm and was STARVING, gave the pugs their treats and ate before my blood sugar plummeted. Come 8pm I am exhausted and corral the pugs upstairs where they proceed to play until 930pm and then gabby refused to sleep. Finally got them to fall asleep….

Come 2am Gabby gets up and REFUSES to go back to bed, I have no idea what her deal was. She’d bark at random things, make her “sad” noises, and so on. I finally ignored it all after I realized she was just fine and she FINALLY crapped out at 3am.

Woke up with headache.

Oh  Thursday….you were no fun.

10 Weeks 5 Days

My sweet babies gave me the saddest eyes today while I was leaving, it broke my heart.
This was taken last year, Pres looks like a monster in this pic!

It made me also realize that I can only imagine how it will be like when Baby H has to go to daycare. Heart brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreaking.

My symptoms are kinda chilling out, although
  • I don't want to think about gluten free
  • flavored chapstick grosses me out
  • I don't want to look at burgers and avocados
  • My boobs still are incredibly sore
  • I feel like I will never get back to post baby weight...hey this is the first time I have seen the scale go up like this, freakin' out a little bit :)
  • I am still tired. all. the. time.
  • No cravings today! . . . . . yet . . . .

few days late!!

Thursday I reached 10 weeks!
Now that you’ve reached 10 weeks, you can stop wondering when you’ll start to actually look pregnant. It’s probably right around now, as your baby continues her rapid growth and your tummy starts to develop some extra curve (of course, you still might be the only one who notices). In the process, your ligaments and muscles are starting to stretch, so don’t be surprised if you start feeling some aches and pains. While, some moms-to-be don’t really get them, others find these sensations -- called “round ligament pain” -- well, downright painful. Your breasts have probably gotten bigger too, since they’ve been prepping for breastfeeding for weeks already! That’s why week 10 is probably a good time to stock up on some new, looser clothes -- and maybe your first round of maternity wear. Don’t go too crazy though. As your body continues to change, you’ll likely want to get some more essentials along the way.

your baby's the size of a prune!
Now, she's about 1.2 inches long and weighs about .14 ounces. Her body length will almost double in the next three weeks.

your baby at 10 weeks
  • Baby has working arm joints, and her cartilage and bones are forming.
  • Her vital organs are fully developed and they're starting to function.
  • Her fingernails and hair are starting to appear, too.
  • Plus, she's swallowing and kicking in there. (Can you believe it?!)

 pregnancy symptoms at 10 weeks
  • You may have aches and pains in your abdomen, as baby's putting a pressure on your organs, veins, muscles and ligaments.
  • You're probably still feeling nauseated and emotional.
  • Tired! Not only is your body working really hard to grow baby, but your sleep might be distrupted by some pretty weird dreams.
  • An increase in vaginal discharge (ew!)
  • Bigger belly and boobs -- this is around the time you probably can start to see some real changes in your body.
  • Visible veins -- those blue streaks are carrying a ton of extra blood to baby.

9 Weeks 6 Days

Yesterday was a little rough.

I got home from work, fed the dogs, ate what is certainly not called dinner, and went upstairs to start cleaning our bedroom (confession, i hate putting up laundry, lets just say I sorted it last night and tonight I have to put it all up). I set the thermostat to 75 and went on my merry little way. Come 7pm I realize the pugs are huffin' and it is not getting any cooler in our house. I look at the thermostat and see that it is 80 degrees and then saw it click to 81.

Wonderful.

Our AC is working but no cold air is coming out...hot air wasn't coming out either, it was just not cooling down the house.

Called Matt, who is in Indiana, and turn off the AC and then turn it back on. Called mom who reminded me of the paper that has all the names of who I should call on it. I find the name and call. I should be getting a phone call within an hour. Dale comes home and we try and try and try to figure out what is going on and suddenly he feels cold air coming out of the vents.

It turned back on. FINALLY.

While this was all going on I was battling a headache that would not go away since 8am that morning, an upset stomach, and pugs that decided from 6-830pm it was let's go wild time. I am prepared to have kids.

I got a call an hour later saying the whole street was having issues and there was a power surge. Wonderful.

I feel like I didn't get enough sleep last night. Can't wait to go to bed tonight...counting down the hours...This kiddo zaps my energy and just craves sleep. Anything for you, Baby H!

p.s. sorry for yelling at you my little black babies...more play time when I get home tonight :)

9 Weeks 5 Days

Oh baby H, my pants are officially uncomfortable. I have never really gained a large amount of weight before so this is a real shocker and kinda freaks me out. My pants are now unzipped and unbuttoned....I am tired of the food baby, let's get big, baby H!

I am wearing dresses from now on until I actually have a belly.

9 Weeks 1 day

Oh, Baby H...the cravings you send me....lol...it all has gluten!

I will admit it, I am in denial. Denial about having Celiac Disease. The blood test came back negative but the endoscopy came back positive. I have been going back and forth. Gluten free just grosses me out....let's thank all day sickness for that. For May, June, and the first half of July I only ate gluten free food and it was the same darn food. Because of that I don't want to eat anything anymore.

I just bought a book that is a grocery guide to gluten free food.

I also just subscribed to savorfull.com

9 weeks!!!

Your Pregnancy: Week 9

As you squeeze into your jeans and struggle to button your shirt, try enjoying the gain -- after all, when was the last time putting on the pounds was totally guilt-free? It's also probably time for a new bra. Your sore, bigger-by-the-minute boobs will feel so much better in a maternity bra.

At nine weeks pregnant, you and baby have made two big accomplishments: You’ve made it to month three, and it's no longer an embryo -- now it's  a fetus. Basically that means  it's   becoming more and more baby-like, and you’re inching closer and closer to leaving the nasties of the first trimester behind you. Just one more month to go! By now, you’ve probably visited the OB, and maybe even seen baby’s tiny heartbeat on the ultrasound. Exciting stuff, huh? You’re also probably starting to think about how life will change when baby’s in the picture.

Baby's now the size of a green olive!Your little embryo has now officially graduated to fetus-hood. Adding to the excitement, a Doppler ultrasound device might be able to pick up the beating heart. With basic physical structures in place and increasingly distinct facial features, baby is kind of starting to look like...well...a baby!

What I am craving.....

Twix (I went to every even floor from 26-16 and there were none, very depressing)
Sausage Biscuit (tastes fantastic every single time I have one)
Chinese food (instantly went away after I had it for lunch, it was awful, didn't even finish)

I can not look at the word gluten without wanting to puke. Let's hope this feeling passes soon!

One more day until 9 weeks! We will be in the 3rd month!!!

8 weeks 5 days

Eating has not gotten any easier. It doesn't help that I am completely grossed out by gluten free food. I guess it got this way because I had been eating it when I started getting the intense upset stomach. I still can't eat a burger and avocado grosses me out. Gluten free bread is at the top of the gross list.

My doctor told me to eat and stay hydrated. The gluten wouldn't hurt the kid, only me, but if I need to eat it so i'd actually eat - then eat.

This past weekend I had a hankering for cheese and mayo sandwich, I couldn't eat it on gluten free bread so I had some wheat bread and boy did that cheese and mayo sandwich taste amazing. It was unbelievable. It has been hard to eat even gluten rich food. I was able to down 3 crispy tacos (gluten free) yesterday...pretty sure Matt was very proud of me :)

This past weekend we went to Port Aransas for a family beach vacation. I refused to go in the water, which is nothing out of the ordinary...you can catch me in water in Destin and Maui...I am somewhat of a snob.

view from our condo!

I was able to get 150 pages in "11/22/63" By Stephen King. Great book so far....only 800 pages to go, lol.

So I am pretty convinced that I will be having a boy.
Yes, I am convinced because of this, lol.

what do you think? Did it work for you?

7 weeks and 6 days

So after getting the OK from my ob/gyn to eat wheat (she said I should know my limit) and that the baby needs food and water for the first 3 months - doesn't matter what - I partook in eating Shipley's Donuts for breakfast (which was absolutely fantastic), chick fil a for lunch (wasn't that amazing) and Pizza for dinner. Yes, I got my cravings out of the way and paid for it. I was incredibly bloated and had a tough time going to bed. It was awful. I am back to Gluten Free and I will be eating gluten foods sparingly.

Today Matt is finally getting his new phone and we are looking for a swimsuit for Matt. I don't care what I wear, it is going to look like I have a food baby the whole time we are at the beach...you know that wonderful bloated feeling of eating too many chips and salsa at a Mexican food restaurant. I am pretty sure I will look this way for a while and I don't really care. I also may be eating too much, the second I feel okay I eat because two weeks ago that was NOT fun not being able to eat anything. I also better enjoy it because the doc said start at month 4 you need to watch what you eat because it will affect the baby...here's to eating yummy food for now and then breaking out the brain food.

Love you Baby H!
